Philip Canaday

Dirt Track Racing has been a part of Philip's life for about 12 years now.  He started racing a 1973 Nova Street Stock when he was 19 years old.  He then took some time off before getting back into the racing circuit in an early 90's Larry Shaw Super Stock.  His need for speed then put him into a Big Dog Modified. Philip has now been racing Modified cars going on his 4th year. He races at tracks in WY, NE, CO, KS, and NM.

Philip graduated from Wyotech in 1992 after completing courses in paint and body and upholstery.  He is employed by Jack's Body and Fender in Rawlins Wyoming as a Painter.  His other hobbies include riding 4 wheelers, snowmobiles, playing pool, annoying his wife Amy of 5 years (yes, the wife wrote the bio) and enjoying time with his 10 year old daughter Keishah, and his 5 year old son Tayler.  Philip is very excited about his son now being involved in racing and plans to be an active supporter of what we hope will one day become Tayler's career.

Philip is also the President of the Carbon County Racing Association in Rawlins Wyoming.
